Our Spiritual Leader, Rev. Duchess Dale
Rev. Duchess Dale became the Spiritual Director of Santa Fe Center for Spiritual Living in January, 2016. Her professional ministry journey began when she graduated ministerial training in 1987 taught by Dr. Leo Fishbeck at the RSI Glendale Church of Religious Science. Prior to graduating Holmes Institute Ministerial Training in 1997, she served as a Practitioner at the Agape Church of Religious Science for 10 years with Rev. Dr. Michael Beckwith where she was the co-founder and Director of the Animal Kinship Ministry, an ongoing pastoral care outreach program that later spread throughout other Centers.
She was ordained in September, 2000 while Rev. Duchess was serving as the Assistant Minister of the North Hollywood Church of Religious Science with Rev. Mark Vierra. There, she had the opportunity to use both her theatrical and her ministerial training.
Starting in 2001, for six years, Rev. Duchess was the Senior Minister at Pacific Church of Religious Science in San Diego before becoming the C.S.O. at the Chico New Thought Center in 2008 for seven years.
One of her proudest spiritual accomplishments was being invited by the Best Friends Animal Society to collaborate on the historical Religious Proclamation for Animal Compassion which she co-authored and helped present to the U.S. Congress in 2007.
Besides being a dynamic speaker and leader, Rev. Duchess loves to write. Her first book, How May I Love You, Today? was published in 2009 and she continues to be a regular contributor to Inner Visions Magazine published by the Agape International Center, as well as Science of Mind Magazine in-between sneaking time to work on her next book.
Her popular blog, Breath Space, http://breathspace.blogspot.com/ is an interesting look at life through her unique, personal perspective.
When she has free time, she spends it with her husband, Don, attending or performing in theater; and watching baseball or movies with their adopted fur-children, feline Beauregard, and their dog, Chai.

Lise Knouse, R.Sc.P. – (505) 501-3385 e-mail
LiseKnouse has been interested in the metaphysical all her life. In high school, while growing up Episcopalian, she read many books by Indian Yogis and practiced yoga, standing on her head daily, fasting and taking hot and cold baths. Later, in her early 20’s she learned and practiced TM meditation and the TM siddhis. She explored all manner of Spiritual practices and was privileged to meet many Spiritual leaders, including Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, Stuart Grayson, Eric Butterworth, Mother Meera, Ammachi, Karunamayi, Gangaji, John Gray and Barbara DeAngelis.
She had a career as a dancer, choreographer and teacher, followed by marriage and the birth of 4 wonderful children at home. All of her children played violin through the Suzuki Method. As they grew older, she founded and directed the Santa Fe Suzuki Institute. She has volunteered with La Leche League for 28 years. Currently, she is a Realtor with Keller Williams Realty in Santa Fe and helps individuals and families joyously buy and sell their homes.
She discovered Religious Science in the early 1980’s in New York City and has loved, benefited from and become passionate about the philosophy of Ernest Holmes. She gratefully and joyfully became a Religious Science Practitioner in 2015.
Deb Mizell, R.Sc.P. – (720) 771-8913 e-mail
Hi my name is Deb Mizell. I am a licensed practitioner with Santa Fe Center for Spiritual Living. While living in Denver CO. I was introduced to the teaching of Science of the Mind at Mile Hi Church in the mid 1990’s. I was moved often to tears of joy, love, and peace that I found listening to the Sunday messages of Dr Roger Teel. I had an overwhelming feeling of “being at home”. My Spiritual Home.
The introduction of New Thought, Oneness, and Science of the Mind appealed to me very much! I started classes meeting many dear friends as we journeyed thru the classes. Applying the practices and teachings and going in deeper to the truths of my divine self. Healing old beliefs and thinking, finding freedom, joy, peace, and a deeper love of self in my life. I had not planned to become a practitioner. And then, one day, I became really clear that the practitioner studies were where I was to study next.
My Practitioner Path began. In July of 2012 I passed my oral exams and became a Licensed Practitioner at Mile Hi Church in Lakewood, CO. I served in numerous ways within the Prayer and Guidance Center, visioning, and as a Prayer Practitioner on Sundays for many persons. In 2015 I moved to Santa Fe, NM. following a dream I had of living in this enchanting state. In 2017, I became a member at Santa Fe CSL and moved my license here.
I enjoying being available for others, reminding them of their truth as a spiritual being. I enjoy teaching, leading meditations and visioning, talking with others and praying for truth revealed. It is my great joy to share this and live this teaching daily.

Richard Knouse, R.Sc.P. – (505) 429-5525 e-mail
Richard’s life-long spiritual journey has carried him through many personal transformations: the battlefields of Vietnam and Wall Street, the astonishing clarity of the Vale of Kashmir, the bleakness of the American street, and the embracing mystery of the Land of Enchantment. He has been a husband, a father, a sadhu, a software engineer and a business consultant. Along the way he has been blessed with the personal presence of many of the leading spiritual leaders of our time, including Maharishi Mahesh Yogi and Mata Amritananda Mayi.
He discovered Religious Science in New York in the 80’s and became a Religious Science Practitioner in 2015. Life can be a problem to be solved or a perfection to be revealed; it’s just a matter of perspective. As a licensed practitioner, guiding others to find their personal miracle has become his favorite thing to do.
Maurean Palmer, RScP – (505) 469-7763 e-mail
“Celebrating Humanity and Recognizing Divinity in everyday living, with Practical Spirituality” This is my Mission and Ministry in a nut shell! I am so honored to be a Licensed Practitioner Since 2004.
Science of Mind and The New Thought Movement became an active part of my life in 2000, when I moved to Sun City, Arizona from Lacuna Beach, California, to care for my Mother who had become blind. I quickly became a member of The Valley Church of Religious Science and began classes, classes and more classes. I also took my Mom and she took classes, with my help and The Science of Mind Textbook on CD, we learned about and explored SOM together. A series of strokes ultimately led to Mom’s transition in 2008. At the moment of her death, literally in my arms, I realized that the Spirit Never dies. I know without a doubt that we are all connected in the Oneness! AND that Scientific Prayer, Spiritual Mind Treatment and Meditation are fantastic tools for Living a Joy filled life!
